ACS taking free/reduced meal applications

ANDERSON — Anderson Community Schools Free/Reduced Meals and textbook applications for the upcoming school year will be available and accepted at Anderson High School (gym commons area) at 4610 S. Madison Ave.

Participants are asked to use the south parking lot and enter through the south door.

Applications are "one per household" for the 2013-14 school year. All ACS students within a household must be listed on one application with schools and grades included.

Applications will be accepted at the following dates:

Tuesday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Wednesday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To assure a child's eligibility prior to school opening, Aug. 7, parents or guardians should apply at this time.

Food Stamp/TANF participants must include the 10-digit case number on the application. The Hoosier Works card number will not be accepted.

Students eligible for Free and Reduced meals will be eligible for Textbook Fee Assistance.
