Students to England luncheon/auction Saturday

LAPEL, Ind. — Students at Lapel High School are making final preparations for their Europe tour in the fall. This will be the 18th consecutive year for Lapel High School to participate in a trip to Europe.

On Saturday, the Students to England 2013 group will sponsor a luncheon/auction in the LHS cafeteria/commons area. The “all-you-can-eat” salad luncheon begins at 11 a.m. The auction will follow at noon. There will be a variety of salads available for this luncheon. Drinks are also provided. Tickets are $7 for adults, student tickets are $3. Desserts will be available for $1.50. Tickets may be purchased from any participating junior at LHS.

The auction will include more than 300 items including a suite at an Indianapolis Indians game, two lower-level Colts tickets, Hoosier Park gift baskets, two Cracker Barrel rocking chairs, many sports jerseys including Michael Jordan, Andrew Luck, Joey Votto and other athletic apparel, and much more like Thirty-One gifts, Vera Bradley, gift certificates, etc.  

Last year’s auction raised $10,450 for the students who participated.
