Church sponsors Magical Mystery Night

MATTHEWS — Epworth United Methodist Church, 105 W. Eighth St., will host a Magical Mystery Night on Saturday, April 5. Kids and kids at heart are invited to this free evening of high energy fun for all ages.

The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a kid-friendly meal followed by a program concluding at 7 p.m. The magical evening will include iIlusions, puppetry, storytelling and ventriloquism by internationally known family entertainer Bob Shimer. Shimer is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians, International Ventriloquist Association, National Storytelling Association and the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

He has performed at the Indianapolis Zoo, the Children’s Museum, Christian Educator and Ministries Conferences, churches, fairs, festivals, community and corporate events, as well as in Las Vegas and on cruise ships. Visit www.matthewseumc.org or call 998-2337.
