Lunafest: Nine short films by, for, about women

---- — ANDERSON — Soroptimist International of Anderson will be hosting its second Lunafest on Saturday, April 12, at The Anderson Center for the Arts, 32 W. 10th St. The film festival will feature nine new short films by, for and about women.

The doors will open at 1 p.m. for snacks and a silent auction of gift baskets. Films will begin at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and are available now from Moneyhun's, The Anderson Center for the Arts and any Soroptimist member. Seating is limited.

Beneficiaries of the net proceeds of this fundraising event will be the Breast Cancer Fund, and other Soroptimist projects including, but not limited to: educational grants for women and girls, supply boxes for women Marines, and the local Alternatives women's shelter for victims of domestic violence.

Sponsors for this event are Anderson/Madison County Visitors Bureau, Nardco Heating and Air Conditioning, Community Hospital Anderson, Madison County Federal Credit Union and The Onion Factory.
