---- — ANDERSON — Anderson High School homecoming festivities this week include a band concert, a powderpuff football game, a beauty queen, a national recording artist — and, of course, a varsity football game.

Festivities will continue tonight with a 7 o’clock performance by the AHS band in the school auditorium.

The powderpuff football game is slated for 6 p.m. Wednesday on the AHS football field. Admission will be $2 a person, with a maximum of $6 for a family of three or more.

The game will be followed by the “Stop Bullying Charity Concert” at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the AHS gym. The concert will feature 2008 Miss Indiana USA and international model Brittany Mason, national recording artist and YouTube sensation Macy Kate, and DJ Baby Chino, billed as the world’s youngest disc jockey.

Tickets to the Stop Bullying Concert are $5 each, with all proceeds going to “fund training from the Challenge Leadership program for staff and students, as well as the establishment of an anonymous crisis hotline,” according to a press release from AHS.

Homecoming week festivities will continue at 7 p.m. Thursday with an AHS choir concert in the school auditorium.

The homecoming game, against Marion High School at 7 p.m. Friday, will be preceded by alumni festivities beginning at 5:15 p.m. The homecoming king and queen will be crowned at halftime.
