Red Ribbon Rally set for Oct. 19

ANDERSON — The Red Ribbon Rally will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at The Impact Center, 630 Nichol Ave.

The event is being hosted by Intersect Inc.; St. Vincent Regional Health; St. Vincent Mercy; and the Madison County SADD students.

The rally is the kickoff to promote Red Ribbon Week, a national initiative to bring awareness to the dangers of drug abuse.

Food vendors and booths will be available as well as a 1:30 p.m. zumba session.

A 3-on-3 basketball tournament is planned for those 16 and older. Call (317) 524-3930 to participate. Cost is $15 per team and begins at 11 a.m. at The Excel Center.

A Lap Walk, Run, Bike begins at 4:15 p.m. at The Impact Center, a one-mile course through Historic District and downtown (streets will be closed for the event).

Register now. Packets can be picked up on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Impact Center.

A dance party will take place after the run. Top participants will receive an award.
