NASCAR show car to make Anderson pit stop

ANDERSON — The official show car of the NASCAR Nationwide Series will make a pit stop at Greek's Pizzeria, 6317 Martin Luther King Blvd., from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.

The event is sponsored by Thompson Nationwide Insurance Agency in Anderson and proceeds from the event will benefit the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for Child Abuse Prevention.

Everyone is invited to this free event where they will be able to see the Nationwide Series show car and hauler, and experience the Nationwide simulator. Members of Anderson Noon Exchange Club will play host to the Greek's Pizzeria events and accept donations and offer a 50/50 drawing. Greek's is providing bounce houses, live bands, and a magician for evening entertainment . The first 100 elementary-age children to arrive will be given a free backpack that is filled with school supplies.

Greek's Pizzeria is donating 20 percent from the purchase of all pizzas throughout the day to the child abuse prevention programs serving Madison County through the Exchange Club Family Resource Center. No flier is necessary.

Guests are encouraged to bring a bag chair so they can hang out, relax, and enjoy the event. Questions may be directed to 617-5912 or email andersonexchangeclub@yahoo.com.
