Symphonic Choir to perform Veterans Day concert tonight

ANDERSON, Ind. — The Anderson Symphonic Choir will perform a Veterans Day concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in the York Performance Hall on the Anderson University campus. The program is free.

The concert will include Americana and patriotic music including folk song arrangements, a medley of armed forces service tunes honoring the men and women who have served their country, "America the Beautiful," and an arrangement of Sousa's "Stars and Stripes" for 4-hand piano, featuring the choir's accompanist, Damion Meade, and assistant conductor, Schuyler Brinson.

An arrangement of the "Shaker Dance Song," "Simple Gifts," will feature AU School of Music faculty, Heaven Fan, harp, and Emily Stanek, flute.
