Volunteers needed for Super Bowl halftime show

INDIANAPOLIS — Producers of the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show are offering area residents an opportunity to participate as volunteers at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 5.

Five hundred local men and women are needed to be part of the stage crew that will help run the stage onto the field and perform other duties during the halftime show featuring Madonna, according to a press release from Bridgestone.

No prior experience is required, but volunteers must attend rehearsals and be over the age of 18. Interested volunteers may log on to www.superbowlproductions.com for more information and to register and view the rehearsal schedule.

Volunteers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the show which will be televised live on NBC. They will not receive tickets to the game. They also will remain in a database for the opportunity to volunteer at future NFL events across the country.

Fans may follow @superbowl on Twitter for news and fan opportunities in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI.
