Belly Dance Showcase and Fundraiser in Muncie

MUNCIE — Join Rebellyon Dance Troupe and Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Dec. 14 for the Belly Dance Showcase and Fundraiser. With a lineup of belly dancers, which includes Cornerstone instructors and students, they will showcase their skills to raise funds for the Arts Program at Cornerstone.

The fundraiser kicks off with two belly dance workshops during the day taught by local belly dancers, Ja’Niesa Zaki and Liz Von Moxie.

Workshop 1 — 10:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. will be instructed by Ja’Niesa Zake. Workshop 2 — 2 to 4 p.m. will be instructed by Liz von Moxie and will consist of 1980’s pop-inspired, tribal fusion combinations to collaborate with your own choreography.

Workshops are $30 each or $55 for both. Registration is available by emailing Jenny Smithson at zhenna11@gmail.com. Workshops will take place at Cornerstone Center for the Arts in the dance studios.

The Belly Dance Showcase and Fundraiser will take place at Cornerstone Center for the Arts in the Colonnade Room located on the first floor. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children at the door.
