— Kathleen Maxwell Parker and Benjamin Robert Sharpe have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Paul and Catherine Parker, of Lorton, Va. The groom-to-be is the son of Robert and Amanda Sharpe, of Anderson, Ind.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. She is the sports marketing manager with the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Her fiance is a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. He is the assistant superintendent at Rocky River Golf Course.
A summer wedding in Charlotte, N.C. is planned.
