Myers anniversary

— Fred “Don” and Janet Myers will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on June 19.

They were married at Ovid Community Church by the late Rev. Myron and Ruth Morris. They then honeymooned at Niagra Falls. Upon their return, they built their home in Markleville where they still reside.

Mr. Myers worked for Delco Remy for 43 years. He also ran M&S Building Materials, a small carpentry business. Mrs. Myers worked at the Markleville Lumber Yard and later raised their daughters.

They are parents to Joy (Jerry) Hollars and Jill (John) Davidson of Markleville. They are proud grandparents to three grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

Their family will be celebrating with an open house at The Hardy Building in Markleville today from 1 to 4 p.m. They ask that instead of gifts, bring a written memory of the couple from the last 60 years.
