Virgil and Helen Stamm will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on July 4. They both attended Anderson High School, and have always made their home in Anderson.
Virgil worked as a tool and die maker at several different locations, and retired from Guide Lamp. Helen loved being a homemaker and a stay at home mother. Virgil has enjoyed playing golf, and Helen has enjoyed many types of crafts. They both had a great time square dancing for many years.
The Stamms attended Faith Assembly Church for several years. They ministered to many by coordinating and serving bereavement dinners, and raising money for the church by selling their homemade candy.
Virgil and Helen are the parents of two daughters, Connie (Mike) Christensen of Lodi, Wis., and Karen (Terry) Stephens of Anderson. They have six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren with two more on the way.
Our family is blessed to have the example of true love and devotion that Virgil and Helen have for each other.
