Copeland anniversary

— James and Lawana (Flye) Copeland celebrated 50 years of marriage on Feb. 9.

They were married at the Justice of the Peace in Anderson in 1964 with Jessie Rozier and Jane Willis as attendants. On their 30th anniversary they renewed their vows at Second Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Rowe officiating.

They are the parents of John, (Marcella) Copeland, Faye (Isaiah) Lurry, James (Melanie) Copeland, William (Jan) Brown, Ronald Brown and Vincent (Carles) Brown.They have 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

They are active members of Second Baptist Church.

James retired from General Motors as an electrician in 1999. Lawana is a retired realtor.

They celebrated with family and friends. An extensive trip is planned at a later date.
