Jim and Lorrena (Stohler) Short of Middletown, 60-year sweethearts, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 27.
The couple was married Feb. 27, 1954, in Anderson.
Jim was born in Celina, Tenn., the son of Albert Short and Dora (Boles), one of 14 children. He relocated to the Anderson area where he met his beloved. He was employed at Delco Remy for 30 years, retiring in 1986. He is an active member of his local United Auto Workers Local 662.
Lorrena is a devoted homemaker, beloved wife and mother. She is an active member of her local church and Tops Club. She is the daughter of Floyd and Gertie (Lyons) Stohler and one of 9 children.
They are the proud parents of S. James, Jacqueline (Wade) Boils of New Castle, and Johnny. They have five grandhcildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
