Larry and Rea Dean Hartzell recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Las Vegas, Nev.
Larry attended Central Avenue Elementary and graduated from Anderson High School in 1959. They were married in 1963.
He was a jet mechanic on the F-105 Thunderchief in the U.S. Air Force for four years. After his discharge they settled in Las Vegas. From there he went on to the Clark County Fire Department for 36 years, retiring as a captain.
They are the parents of Carrie (husband, Troy) Jepson, Tonya (husband, Mike) Mallory, and Larry (wife, Jessica) Hartzell, and grandparents to nine grandchildren, all of Las Vegas.
