Franklin anniversary

— Leland and Delores (Eads) Franklin will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 28. They were married at East Lynn Christian Church among family and friends. After a brief honeymoon to the Smoky Mountains, they returned to Anderson to begin married life and to start a family.

Leland worked his entire adult life at Guide, in Anderson, providing for a wonderful life for his family by working long hours, seven days a week. Delores retired from nursing to concentrate on her family full time. She has always made everyone who entered her door feel welcome and loved.

We are blessed that they have shown us how true love is supposed to be. They have endured illness, hardships, and trials . . . and also joy, love and many blessings. Through it all, they have remained a steadfast couple and are truly devoted to each other.

A party will be held in their honor in mid-July of this year. All friends and family are welcome to attend and help us celebrate this wonderful anniversary and love. More information and specifics will be forthcoming.

There is love abounding in this family — our parents are a tribute to what most of us want in life; to find that one true love and make it last a lifetime. We are so blessed that they have set such an amazing example for us to follow. With all the love we have; Leland and Angie (Marsh) Franklin Jr. and Roger and Rebecca (Franklin) Paschal, and grandchildren; Michael, Daniel, Noelle, Holly and Joshua.
