Grieving family gives thanks to Carl Erskine

— My name is Greg Contreraz. My family and I moved out to Anderson in 1993; my dad, Emilio, was transferred to GM from one in Los Angeles, Calif. We have been really big Dodgers fans all our life.
This April 2, 2008, my dad Emilio passed away. I went to Mr. Erskine’s Rehabilitation Center to ask if there was any way to meet Carl Erskine. The secretary took my phone number and he called within the next day. I asked him if he could come meet the family at my dad’s showing.
He told me he would try because it’s his family day. Sure enough, at my dad’s showing I was standing there talking to my uncle. I started to cry when Mr. Erskine walked in and said ‘you must be Greg’ and I said yes.
That day is now over but myself and my fiancée, Tracy, and the whole Contreraz family would like to thank Mr. Erskine and his family on their family day. Thank you Erskine family.
