Sampler raised $3,000 for Special Olympics
We wish to report another successful year for the Gourmet Sampler. Thanks to the sponsors, patrons and the guests who purchased tickets for the Gourmet Sampler we were able to raise over $3,000. This event benefits Special Olympics in their many activities.
These restaurants participated serving their entrees and delicious desserts to the delight of all: Applebees, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cracker Barrel, Culvers, Days Inn, Flashback, Gaithers Family Resources, Goods Candy, GFS Marketplace, Hoosier Park, Jan’s Cake & Candy Crafts, Lighthouse Cafe, Olive Garden, Panera Bread, Papa Johns, Perkins, Phillippe Water, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster, Starbucks Coffee, Texas Roadhouse, Coca Cola and Pepsi.
Entertainment was ongoing with Carl Erskine, John Gunter, Jeff Hardin and several others playing in the dining room, pool area and bar. Very enjoyable.
It took committee members months to prepare. I personally want to thank Jim Sargent, chairman and organizer, for many hours of his time and talent. Many guests commented about the decorations and atmosphere he created.
We will present the check to Special Olympics at “Little Bit of Country” in September at the Paramount Theatre. Won’t you join us?
If you have some time to spare, think about becoming a committee member for next year.
