Library volunteers contribute many hours

National Volunteer Week recognition began in 1974 when President Richard Nixon signed an executive order establishing it as a nationally observed event. Every president since Nixon has signed a proclamation promoting it.

In honor of National Volunteer Week, The Anderson Public Library would like to express appreciation to all of our volunteers. These volunteers contributed a total of 882 hours during 2007. I would also like to thank the volunteer organizations, Friends of the Library and RSVP for their contributions in making the Anderson Public Library a better place.
