Capitalism allows businesses to be successful

— It was refreshing to read the viewpoint of someone who gets how capitalism should work. Our country was not founded on a socialistic model. Do people not understand that all the things they are being promised will take money and that will mean it will come out of their paychecks in the form of taxes? In some countries as much as 60 percent of a person’s paycheck goes for taxes to pay for all the services they receive from the government.
I also agree that it is a sad day when companies could be penalized for making huge profits. That is how capitalism works: Freedom to make your business successful.
The American people seem to have an entitlement mentality. Many people feel that those who have more owe those who don’t have as much. I wonder how they would feel if they were the owners of a company they had labored to make successful only to be told you aren’t allowed to make a profit and you owe money to other people?
Wake up, America. Politicians will promise you anything. Getting it done is another matter.
