Letter: Conservative values taught by my parents

The latest report from the Congressional Budget Office is that Obamacare will cost 2.5 million jobs. The liberal spin is "that is a good thing." We can spend more time with family if we're not tied down to a job. We can even become entrepreneurs. Education is an expense we will no longer need. Those things I ruined my life working for will be given to me as long as I vote for big government.

I remember as a lad I ignored my father when he told me to mow the yard. He said no more, but when we sat down for the evening meal there was no plate on the table for me. He explained to me that those who don't work, don't eat! I can see now that was nothing short of child abuse. I'm an old man and somewhat set in my ways, but I do forgive my parents and grandparents for teaching me conservative values.
