Letter: Country can’t afford entitlements

— With a healthy economy, it’s difficult to get your agenda passed.

But, if the economy can be ruined, with citizens out of work, banks and stock market scams, manufacturing, wars, tax cuts and anything that disrupts and destroys the economy, that opens the door for the elimination of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. The country can’t afford these so-called entitlements.

I hate to think it, but it seems to be the plan and scam now in the works. It’s all greed that drives this insane plan. The 99ers will wake up and realize they have been shafted again. And, again, the 1 percent will ride off with their retirements and IRA accounts. All the country’s economic problems could easily be solved by putting people back to work. But, if you want to destroy all that is good and right in America, you can’t allow that. All I can say is, there are some sick minds in our government who would ruin millions of lives to achieve their objectives.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I think not.
