Letter: Weigh the facts, not the distortion

For several years I have been reading various "Letters to the Editor" sent by Bill J. Paschal. His letter of Jan. 16, concerning the scandal and cover-up of the Benghazi attack, was more than I could stomach.

He cited the New York Times investigation as finding that local militia and insults to Islam were the cause of the attack. The New York Times is noted for their one-sided news reporting. Their investigative reporting is like sending a fox to investigate who killed the chickens in the hen house.

Facts uncovered since the Benghazi attack plus a bipartisan report show the exact opposite to be true.

As controversial issues arise, each of us should attempt to gain as much information as possible, then let the scales tilt on the side of truth, not lies and distortion.
