ANDERSON — Officials at Hoosier Park said Tuesday that the expanded gambling site would offer the latest technology in casino gambling.
The 92,000-square-foot casino floor will house 2,000 electronic betting games accepting bets starting at a single penny to $100.
The games comes in dozens of themes, from well-known game names like “The Price Is Right” and “Wheel of Fortune” to names like “Independence Pay” and the nickel-slot game “Double Diamond.”
“It’s the entire spectrum of the newest in slot machines,” said Jim Brown, general manager for gaming at Hoosier Park, which is set to open to the public June 2.
The casino will also offer 66 electronic, multi-player table games with video dealers leading games of black jack, three-card poker and roulette.
Brown said Hoosier Park can comfortable accommodate 3,000 people, or more when including the racing and dining areas. The casino will likely draw most of its customers from within 75 miles of Anderson, but the hope is that the facility will become a regional recreation destination.
