PENDLETON — A man was rushed by helicopter to Indianapolis from a Pendleton warehouse Monday afternoon after he became trapped under a pile of pallets.
Pendleton Police Chief Marc Farrer said the incident happened approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Tractor Supply Co. warehouse on Enterprise Drive in Pendleton.
“He was moving pallets and supposedly a stack of pallets fell on him,” Farrer said.
The man, whose name was not released, was sent by PHI helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis shortly after 4 p.m.
Pendleton Fire Chief Danny Gardner said the man was concious when emergency personnel arrived on the scene and was complaining of pain in his lower extremities.
Gardner estimated that the victim was a man in his 40s.
Officials from Tractor Supply Co. would not comment about the incident or release the injured man’s name.
