• Anderson police arrested Kristopher L. Scott, 32, of the 600 block of West 25th Street, Anderson, at 4:11 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of West 25th on suspicion of resisting law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor, and child molestation, a Class A felony. He is being held without bond.

• Anderson police arrested Paul D. Merritt, 23, of the 2100 block of Mounds Road, Anderson, at 3:06 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of theft, a Class D felony, and public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond is $5,000.

• Anderson police arrested Deshawn L. Smith, 21, of the 2800 block of Fletcher Street, Anderson, at 1:55 a.m. Thursday in the in the 1100 block of West Seventh Street on suspicion of resisting law enforcement, a Class D felony; reckless driving, a Class B misdemeanor; and failure to stop after an accident, a Class C misdemeanor. He is being held without bond.

• Chesterfield police arrested Kevin M. Mabbitt, 36, of the 2600 block of Raible Avenue, Anderson, at 10:06 p.m. Wednesday along County Road 67 at 100 South on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class D felony, and driving while suspended, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond is $5,000.

• Anderson police arrested Gregory L. McMiller, 24, of the 2500 block of Morton Street, Anderson, at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of 21st and Pearl streets on suspicion of three counts of dealing cocaine, a Class B felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond is $20,000.

• Anderson police arrested Marcus J. Cochran, 28, of the 1400 block of Dewey Street, Anderson, at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of Charles Street on suspicion of conversion, a Class A misdemeanor. He is being held without bond.

• Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Maureen D. Eliason, 51, of the 3100 block of East Cross Street, Anderson, at 11:13 p.m. Wednesday in the near the intersection of 200 East and 100 North on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor. He has since been released.

• Anderson police arrested Richard N. Ryan, 54, of the 300 block of East Cross Street, Anderson, at 1:40 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of East Cross on suspicion of invasion or privacy, a Class A misdemeanor. He has since been released.
