Friday morning, Anderson Police investigated of a body found in a burning shed. At 4:24 a.m., the Anderson Fire Department responded to a fire in the 2400 block of Fowler Street. Neighbors called emergency communications after seeing the storage shed engulfed in flames.

Within minutes the fire was doused, and emergency personnel discovered a body in the smoldering structure. Police were summoned to the scene and launched a query to identify both the victim and the cause of death. At this hour, investigators believe the body is that of one of the home owners; however an autopsy is scheduled to assist in the identification of the victim and a probable cause of death.
