ANDERSON — The Madison County Health Department will offer an H1N1 vaccination clinic at Elwood High School, officials announced Friday.
The inoculations will take place Thursday, Nov. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m., at a walk-in clinic at the school.
Meanwhile, officials have expanded the hours of a drive-through clinic that will take place Thursday in Alexandria at the Madison County 4-H Fairgrounds.
That clinic will begin at 3 p.m. and run through 7 p.m., with a goal of providing about 2,000 doses of vaccine against the virus commonly referred to as swine flu.
According to a statement from the Madison County Health Department, “Despite the relative success of administering over 2,000 vaccinations at Hoosier Park in Anderson on Nov. 4, it was believed by clinic planners that expanding the hours would better accommodate the drive-through format, reducing the probability of having to turn patients away.”
