ANDERSON — Anderson police arrested four men at the Clarion Inn on Scatterfield Road Thursday morning on charges of selling and smoking cocaine in one of the hotel rooms, according to police reports.
The report said officers arrested Richard Fuller, 44, in the hotel’s parking lot for possession of cocaine. Fuller told them he’d bought the cocaine from a man in a hotel room; however, officers found electric scales when they searched him. Fuller is being held on a $20,000 bond for Class B felony dealing in cocaine.
Sgt. Bill Casey said it’s not typical for drugs to be dealt from the Clarion, but officers patrol local hotel parking lots to maintain a presence.
“It’s not an everyday thing,” Casey said. “A lot of times, those things (calls to hotels) are initiated by the people who work there.”
When officers visited and searched the hotel room that Fuller mentioned, they found three men in the room. Between the three men, officers found about $4,500, marijuana and “a large amount of cocaine,” according to the police report.
Michael Siebert, 24, is being held on a $105,000 bond on charges of Class A felony dealing in cocaine and Class A misdemeanor false informing. Larry Miller, 19, is being held on a $35,000 bond on charges of Class D felony maintaining a common nuisance. Rickey Johnson, 20, has been released on a $20,000 bond on charges of Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana, Class B misdemeanor illegal possession, consumption or transportation of alcohol and Class C misdemeanor common nuisance. Miller and Siebert are from Detroit; the other men are from Anderson.
