Arrest log: June 30

Anderson police arrested Grant M. Lashure, 18, of the 600 block of South 14th Street, Elwood, at 9:57 p.m. Friday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor battery.

Anderson police arrested Barbara J. Chapple, 63, of the 3100 block of West County Road 950 South, Pendleton, at 1:45 a.m. Saturday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony dealing marijuana and Class D felony maintaining a common nuisance.

Elwood police arrested Jacob M. Jones, 19, of the 1600 block of South M Street, Elwood, at 1:56 a.m. Saturday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony possession of a controlled substance and Class A misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

Madison County police arrested John Harvey Wicker, 47, of Piedmont, Missouri, at 2:19 a.m. Saturday. Bond was set at $8,000 for Class C misdemeanor OWI.

State police arrested Steven A. Kissane, 30, of the 700 block of North Madison Street, Fortville, at 2:36 a.m. Saturday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony possession of a controlled substance, Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Class A misdemeanor visiting a common nuisance.

Anderson police arrested Shawnnita R. Perry, 25, of the 4500 block of Columbus Avenue, Anderson, at 5:27 a.m. Saturday. Bond was set at $10,000 for Class C felony escape from detention and Class B misdemeanor public intoxication.

Elwood police arrested Leticia S. Nava, 45, of the 900 block of South A Street, Elwood, at 5:54 a.m. Saturday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony intimidation.

Alexandria police arrested Bobbette J. Chavez, 51, of the 2000 block of Winding Way, Anderson, at 9:09 a.m. Saturday. Bond was set at $4,000 for Class C misdemeanor OWI.

State police arrested Lisa R. Boerner, 44, of the 2400 block of Meridian Street, Anderson, at 9:31 a.m. Saturday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor OWI.

Anderson police arrested Harrison W. Norvell III, 33, of the 1900 block of Hines Street, Muncie, at 10:58 a.m. Saturday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony criminal confinement and Class A misdemeanor battery.

Demolition of the houses is being made possible through a federal loan initiative administered by the state called the Blight Elimination Program.

The company received no bill for electricity usage from the Anderson utility office for five months, despite numerous attempts they say they made to correct the problem.

    Nine Indianapolis Colts fans attending practice at Anderson University saved 27 lives on Friday. That's good, of course, but if 15 more fans had taken a few minutes out of their afternoon to donate blood, 72 lives could have been saved, said Julie Gordon of the Indiana Blood Center.
