Fortville woman slightly injured in downtown accident

ANDERSON, Ind. — A Fortville woman was slightly injured in a two-vehicle accident in downtown Anderson Saturday afternoon.

Rebecca Spurling of Fortville was a passenger in a brown SUV driven by Larry Castor, 63, of Fortville. According to Anderson Police Department spokesman Freddie Tevis, at about 4 p.m. Castor, heading north on Jackson Street, turned his vehicle left onto West 13th Street and into the path of a green truck driven by Glenn Skinner, 53, of Anderson.

The SUV flipped on its side and trapped Spurling, who needed to be cut out of the vehicle by rescue crews. Spurling received a slight laceration to her right arm and was transported to St. Vincent Hospital for treatment.
