---- — Pain management topic of free event

ANDERSON — The Madison County Community Health Center is bringing together a table of experts to present the “Living with Pain: First Do No Harm” community discussion.

The panel discussion, led by moderator Gary Brummitt, will feature experts for an educational discussion about pain management, addiction and quality of life. The free event begins today at 6 p.m. in the Terrace Showroom at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino.

Korean War veterans meeting Monday

ANDERSON — The Anderson Tri-County Chapter 308 of KWWA (Korean War Veterans Association) will meet at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266, 3210 Columbus Ave. The time is a change from a previous announcement.

Any veterans of the Korean War or veterans who served in Korea are invited to attend. In lieu of a program, there will be an installation of the newly elected officers.

Grand Prix spots available

ALEXANDRIA — Reserved spots for vendors for the 2014 Alexandria Grand Prix are now being accepted. This year’s event will take place Aug. 23-24 on the downtown streets of Alexandria. Current Chamber members will be able to have a free booth space at this event. There are limited spaces available on a “first come, first serve” basis.

Food vendor spaces for Chamber members are also being reserved. If spaces are left over, the public will be offered them for a fee.

Lapel school roundup is March 27

LAPEL — Lapel Elementary Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup will be Thursday, March 27, from noon to 7 p.m.

To enroll in kindergarten for 2014/2015 the child must be 5 years old by Aug. 1. In order to enroll a child in either pre-K or kindergarten, the parent must provide the child’s proof of residency, birth certificate and current shot records. To enroll in pre-K the child must be 4 by Aug. 1.

Ballet troupe to perform ‘Cinderella’

ANDERSON — The Anderson Young Ballet Theatre will perform “Cinderella” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Paramount Theatre, 1124 Meridian Plaza.

The main cast includes Natalie Shively as Cinderella; Alek Schroeder as Prince Desiré; Emma DeLillo as Fairy Godmother; Londyn Rouse as Spring Fairy; Maddie Duncan as Summer Fairy; Brielle Sandefur as Fall Fairy; Gracie Anderson as Winter Fairy; Cathy Petraits as Wicked Step Mother; and Tillie Murphy and Jennifer Thiemet as the Ugly Step Sisters; The director is Lou Ann Young.

Powerball winner bought in Tipton

INDIANAPOLIS — Someone’s dream came true in the town of Tipton over the weekend.

Someone purchased a Powerball ticket worth $2 million at the Speedway at 405 E. Jefferson St., Tipton. That ticket missed Saturday night’s $60 million jackpot by one number, matching the first five numbers, but not the Powerball number, with Power Play.

Saturday night’s winning Powerball numbers were: 3-8-25-30-47 PB: 13. Power Play was 4. The holder of the ticket is encouraged to sign the back and contact Hoosier Lottery customer service.
