Closings announced for Wednesday, as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday:

Daleville Community Schools - closed

Elwood Community Schools - closed

Frankton-Lapel Community Schools - closed

Liberty Christian School - closed

Madison-Grant United Schools - closed

Shenandoah Schools - closed

South Madison Community Schools - closed

TRC - Head Start, Anderson - closed

Other area closings or delays:

- Henry County courthouse

- Madison County Government Center - 2-hour delay in opening offices

tMADISON COUNTY TRAVEL STATUS CHANGED TO 'WATCH'

The Madison County Commissioners, Sheriff, Highway Supt. and EMA Director have made the decision to raise

our Travel Status to WATCH at 10:15 PM 2/4/2014. A Travel WATCH means:

• Road conditions are threatening to the safety of the public.

• Only essential travel, to and from work or in emergency situations is recommended

• Emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies and other

organizations

Roads throughout ALL of Madison County are extremely slick, hazardous and in some areas covered by snow

drifts. The men and women of the Madison County Highway Department have been working 12-hour shifts since

Tuesday morning.

Madison County Courthouse will open 2 hours later.

Madison County EMA will continue to monitor conditions of the county and maintain contact with county officials

throughout the event.
