CHA Anderson plans alternative Komen walk

ANDERSON, Ind. — On Saturday, April 21, thousands of people will head to downtown Indianapolis to participate in the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, a nationwide event that raises money for breast cancer research. In an effort to involve more local residents, Community Hospital Anderson has planned a local walk here at the hospital on Saturday, April 20, for those who are not able to drive down to Indianapolis.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the walk will begin at 10 a.m. There will be a short ceremony, where breast cancer survivors will be recognized and honored. Any money raised will support a local grant to provide mammograms to women in the Madison County community. Participants will receive a shirt with registration.

For more information or to register, call Jill Hensley at 298-1617.
