Winter storm warning in effect for Madison County

ANDERSON, Ind. — Madison County remains under a winter storm warning this morning as light snow continues to fall across much of the area.

About four inches of heavy, wet snow was on the ground in Anderson at 8 a.m. Side streets remained snow-covered, but main road and interstates were mostly clear.

Snow is expected to continue falling, with an additional 1-2 inches expected through the morning, before tapering off by mid-afternoon.

A winter storm warning is in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday for Madison, Hamilton, Hancock, Delaware, Tipton and Henry counties.
