Kindergarten Roundup begins April 8 at South Madison

PENDLETON — Kindergarten Roundup for South Madison Community Schools begins April 8.

Roundup starts with East Elementary on April 8, from 1 to 6 p.m., 779-4445 or 649-6631. On Wednesday, April 9, Pendleton Elementary Primary will hold its roundup with hours of 1 to 6 p.m., 778-2117, 642-2185 or (317) 485-4759.

Maple Ridge Elementary will hold its roundup on Thursday, April 10, from 1 to 6 p.m., 778-3818 or (317) 485-4957.

Parents need to bring their child, the child’s birth certificate (must be 5 by Aug. 1), two proofs of residency in the school district; immunization record, doctor contact information, and student medication information; emergency contact information; court records and/or a copy of any IEP, if applicable; driver’s license or government photo ID for the parent/guardian.

All out-of-district students must apply and be accepted for enrollment in South Madison Community School Corp. More information may be obtained from calling 778-2152.

Kindergarten teachers will be conducting a basic skills screener with each child. Parents may participate in Round-Up at any South Madison school; however, each child will attend the elementary school assigned to their home address.
