Judge OKs plea deal in freezer body case
KOKOMO — A judge has accepted a plea agreement in which a man will admit reckless homicide and cocaine possession charges in the slaying of a friend whose body he stuffed inside an unplugged freezer.
An amended deal accepted Wednesday leaves the sentencing of 53-year-old Walter Logan up to a judge. The Kokomo Tribune reports the deal previously called for a maximum 20-year sentence.
Prosecutors agreed to drop murder and criminal confinement charges in the November slaying of 29-year-old Alex Shipp.
