'4 Paws for George' fundraiser on Sept. 28

FORTVILLE — “4 Paws for George,” a fundraiser event for 7-year-old George Lindeman, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28.

George is the son of Jeff and Gabrielle Lindeman. He attends Indianapolis Public Schools and suffers from two rare disorders. He has been approved by 4 Paws for Ability for a service dog that will be trained in seizures alert, balance assistance, object retrieval and behavioral intervention. They need to raise $13,000 to help fund the cost of the animal.

A motorcycle ride will start from The Music Box (the former Hog House) in Ingalls at 11 a.m. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The ride will end at the American Legion Park in Fortville. Cost is $20 per bike and $5 per passenger.

A car show will be held at the American Legion Park. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. A bounce house will be available for the children from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be live music, balloons, face painting, vendors and food. Camping is available.

Proceeds from the benefit will go toward obtaining a service dog for George.
