Kitchen fire at apartment complex; no injuries reported

ANDERSON, Ind. — A pot left on a stove forced the temporary evacuation of residents Wednesday night from the Hoosier Woods apartments.

Crews were called to the complex on the city's southeast side, near East 38th Street and County Road 200 East, shortly before 9 p.m. Smoke was reported coming from an apartment in Building C. There were no reports of injuries.

Crews reported the fire was out by 9:30 p.m. Initial reports were that a pot had been left on a stove, causing the fire.
