INDOT awards $2.5 million for county road project

The Herald Bulletin

The Indiana Department of Transportation has awarded $2,566,156 to Primco Inc. of Fort Wayne for road reconstruction and bridge rehabilitation on County Road 300 East — a Local Public Agency project planned and partially paid for by Madison County.

The LPA project begins 1,350 feet north of U.S. 36 and extends to County Road 600 South, a distance of .66 miles.

The Federal Highway Administration provides 80 percent of the funding for LPA projects. Madison County will be responsible for 20 percent in matching funds.

Primco’s was the lowest of seven bids submitted, INDOT said in a release.
