Arrest Log

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Monday and Tuesday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Anderson police arrested Jason D. Auler, 34, homeless, at 2:43 p.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class C felony violation of suspended sentence, Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana and a felony in another jurisdiction.

Anderson police arrested Justin D. Thompson, 30, of the 700 block of West Second Street, Anderson, at 5:48 p.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony theft.

Elwood police arrested Scott L. Smith, 18, of the 900 block of South B Street, Elwood, at 6:24 p.m. Monday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor battery and Class A misdemeanor court commitment.

Madison County police arrested Desmond L. Hopgood, 23, of the 1200 block of West Ninth Street, Anderson, at 10:18 p.m. Monday. No bond was set for Class D felony violation of work release.

Madison County police arrested Quayshawn R. Jordan, 20, of the 4500 block of Columbus Avenue, Anderson, at 10:31 p.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class B felony violation of probation and Class D felony battery.

Madison County police arrested Jennifer D. Coomer, 39, of East Main Street, Chesterfield, at 10:33 p.m. Monday. No bond was set for Class A felony court commitment.

Anderson police arrested Lathario R. Bellamy, 34, of the 2100 block of East County Road 150 South, Anderson, at 10:51 p.m. Monday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor driving while suspended.

Elwood police arrested Robert A. Deaton, 26, of the 800 block of North 12th Street, Elwood, at 2:28 a.m. Tuesday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor parole violation.

Anderson police arrested Daniel E. Snead Jr., 28, of the 3600 block of Brown Street, Anderson, at 5:06 a.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $4,000 for Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, Class C misdemeanor operator never licensed and Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Anderson police arrested John C. Nunn, 46, of the 2400 block of Fairview Street, Anderson, at 5:27 a.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony OWI.

Anderson police arrested Ricky L. A. Taylor, 49, of the 2200 block of Locust Street, Anderson, at 10 a.m. Tuesday. No bond was set for Class C misdemeanor domestic battery.

    The fussing of 10-day-old Autumn Marie Sperry seemed to coincide with the beginning of the funeral service for her father, Jesse Sperry, whose body rested just a few feet away. More than 200 friends and family members gathered at Edgewood Baptist Church this afternoon to pay their respects to Jesse, who was killed April 6 in a traffic accident on Indiana 32.
