INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Police recently launched an online database of all school bus inspections.
According to an agency news release, all buses that are used to transport students of public or private schools are inspected at least once a year. Buses that are 12 years or older are supposed to be inspected twice a year.
The database, which can be accessed at https://secure.in.gov/ISP/BusInspections/Public/Index, includes more than 30,000 inspections and should automatically update within days after future school bus inspections. It launched on July 1.
The database, which lists buses by their numbers, is broken down by school corporation.
