ANDERSON, Ind. — Rooster Club meets Monday evening

ANDERSON — The Madison County Rooster Club meets Monday, May 20, for its monthly get-together at Democrat Headquarters, 18 W. Eighth St. Socializing begins at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting at 7 p.m.

Charter schools lose appeals with BSU

MUNCIE — Ball State University has closed the books on its January decision to pull its sponsorship of five academically struggling Indiana charter schools.

The schools are the Imagine Indiana Life Sciences Academy-East in Indianapolis, Richmond’s Christmon STEMM Leadership Academy, Gary’s LEAD College Preparatory Charter School and two Fort Wayne charter schools — the Imagine Schools on Broadway and the Imagine MASTer Academy.

Two other schools with revoked charters withdrew their appeals.
