ANDERSON, Ind. — Community Hospital Anderson has received a gift of approximately 34 acres of land from George and Nancy Likens, the hospital announced Tuesday.
The land, known as Hickory Estates, is situated in a contiguous location along the hospital’s current western property line. This location makes it ideal for any possible further expansion of the current hospital campus and brings the total size of the campus to approximately 125 acares.
“We are extremely grateful to the Likens for this generous gift which will expand our ability to provide excellent health care to the residents of Madison County and beyond,” said Keith Trent, Community Anderson vice president and chief Foundation officer.
George and Nancy Likens have been longtime supporters of Community Anderson. George Likens was the first chairman of the hospital Foundation board of trustees and also served on the hospital board. Nancy Likens served on the Foundation board and has been a member of the hospital auxiliary for several years.
