Jamboree's pulled chicken dinner set for Saturday

MARKLEVILLE — The Markleville East Christian Church will be hosting its annual barbecue pulled chicken sandwiches in the Community Park shelter house during the Markleville Jamboree from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. The park is located just west of the town on Indiana 38.

The meal will include barbecue pulled chicken sandwiches, potato chips, baked beans, slaw or applesauce, dessert, and iced tea or lemonade and there will be carryouts available.

The cost is $6 for 12 years and older, $3 for children 5 to 12, and children under 5 can eat free.

The CWF monthly Abundance Meal, held the second Wednesday of each month, will resume Sept. 11 serving chicken noodles.
