ANDERSON, Ind. —
Martez Brown, one of the co-defendants in the 2010 double homicide of Stephen Streeter and Keya Prince, will face sentencing Monday at 3 p.m. in Circuit Court I.
Madison County prosecutor Rodney Cummings withdrew a plea agreement for 17-year-old Brown after he admitted to lying under oath.
Brown initially told Anderson police Detective Jake Brooks, shortly after the bodies were discovered, that Smith shot Streeter in the head.
He reiterated his allegation during the jury trial for Jacob Fuller in July. However, during Aug. 29’s bench trial for Smith, Brown said it was all a lie.
Cummings decided to move forward with a trial, but said he elected not to charge Brown with perjury.
Brown was convicted on two counts of murder and charges of robbery and theft on Nov. 1.
