New voting locations for primary election

ANDERSON — A polling station on Columbus Avenue will be moved a few blocks north for Tuesday's primary.

County administrator Dan Dykes announced on Sunday that the planned election site for Ward 2, precincts 3 and 5, at an auction gallery in the 2700 block of Columbus Avenue will be moved back to the old No. 3 fire station at the corner of 21st Street and Columbus.

Dykes said the decision wasn't made until Friday, but hopes it won't cause too much confusion because the fire station used to be a polling place for years. The structure is now the arson investigation division.

Other poll site changes by the Madison County commissioners:

Anderson Ward 1, Precinct 1 – National Guard Armory, previously voted at Eastside Intermediate School.

Anderson Ward 1, Precinct 5 – Parkview Church of Nazarene, previously voted at Tenth Street Elementary School.
