Red Haven Award to be presented Tuesday

ANDERSON — The 46th annual presentation of the Red Haven Memorial Award and Luncheon by the Anderson Noon Exchange Club will be held at The Edge on Tuesday. The 11:20 a.m. buffet luncheon will honor eight area seniors for excellence in academics, athletics and community service.

The award, named in honor of Orville "Red" Haven, a past sports editor of The Anderson Herald who wrote columns giving great honor to outstanding area athletes.

Candidates this year are Courtney Skinner of Alexandria-Monroe High School, Jordan Hill of Anderson High School, Tyler Barnes of Anderson Preparatory Academy, Dakin Updegraff of Elwood High School, Shania Ray of Frankton High School, Mackenzie Boles of Lapel High School, Katie Maidlow of Liberty Christian School, and Elane Stephenson of Pendleton Heights High School.

Guests wishing to attend the awards luncheon may make their $15 per person reservation by calling Bonny Clark at 617-5912.
