Madison County under severe thunderstorm watch

ANDERSON, Ind. — Madison County is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 3 a.m. tonight. Widespread thunderstorms are continuing to move through the area.

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued from 7 p.m. Wednesday into early morning hours on Thursday.

According to the hazardous weather outlook, the thunderstorms may continue to impact the region through the rest of the week with a strong cold front and low pressure system moving through central Indiana. One to 2 inches of rain were predicted by Thursday afternoon, which could cause significant rises on creeks and streams.
